Tjasha Gafner, born in November 1999 and native of Switzerland, discovered her passion for the harp at the age of seven. Since 2012, she is a student of Letizia Belmondo at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne. She is actually undertaking her first Master, in the Soloist section.

She received many 1st prizes at Swiss Music Contests and several international distinctions, such as the 2nd prize at the Concours Lily Laskine in Paris at the age of 11 and 1st prizes at the Felix Godefroid Competition in Belgium in 2012, the Concorso Suoni d’Arpa in Milan in 2014, the Concours Martine Géliot in Paris in 2016 and the Concours du Jura in 2017. She won the Pour-cent Culturel Migros Study Prize in 2019.

Tjasha regularly gives solo recitals in France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland, but also in Australia or in Hong Kong. She has diverse radio and television experiences, as in Génération Jeunes Interprètes for France Musique or in Des Masters sur les ondes for Espace 2. Her first CD has been recorded in April 2018.

Since the age of 10, she has been invited to play as a soloist with many orchestras, such as the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the Jeunes Virtuoses de New York, the Kammerorchester der Bayerischen Philharmonie, the Archi de Sono in Turin or the Academic Chamber Orchestra from Ukraine. In September 2019, Tjasha had the honor to do the world premiere of Laurent Coulomb’s concerto with the Ensemble Symphonique de Neuchâtel, and will also give in March 2020, the world premiere of Alessio Pianelli’s double concerto with the Camerata Zürich.
